Overview

Employment Solutions are looking to recruit for a Multi-Skilled Engineer. You will play a key role in delivering a safe, high-quality, and cost-effective maintenance service to site assets for a large company based in the Leicester area. You will be responsible for all aspects of preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance across a range of mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring operational efficiency.

Qualifications

NVQ level 3 or equivalent in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering is preferred, with experience in a similar role. Familiarity with technical manuals, schematics and drawings. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Benefits and Terms

Excellent benefits with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, pension is an auto enrolment (Employer 3% / Employee 5%), death in service 2 x annual salary. Perm position with a 3 months\' probation, competitive salary of £36k to £40k per annum.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday between the hours of 7.30am and 5.30pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to SFG20 standards on HVAC systems, UPS systems, RCDs and PAT testing, lighting systems, LEV and fume cupboards - filters, boilers and air compressors.
• Diagnose and repair faults efficiently to reduce downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections and proactive maintenance to ensure reliability and safety.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new systems and equipment.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities using a CMMS (tablet-based, training provided).
• Manage critical spare parts and ensure effective inventory control.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and performance initiatives.
