Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be a key part of this purpose - delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality maintenance solutions that ensure our clients' buildings operate to the highest standards.

You will be responsible for providing world‑class and consistent building maintenance services across a variety of client properties within your designated region. This will involve electrical fault finding, repairs, maintenance, and installations, alongside wider building services tasks.

Working within a multi‑skilled engineering team, you will help ensure that all building systems perform efficiently and that client satisfaction remains at the heart of every job you undertake.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver electrical PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive works within agreed timeframes, ensuring customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Undertake other building services maintenance including HVAC, mechanical, and fabric‑related tasks as required.
  • Provide callout response for clients as part of an agreed callout rota.
  • Manage and oversee contractors on site, ensuring compliance with standards, quality, and safety requirements, including issuing Permits to Work.
  • Ensure all electrical systems and equipment operate to required performance standards.
  • Maintain all working areas and equipment in line with company and client standards.
  • Represent ISS professionally at all times, promoting excellent customer service and communication.
  • Accurately complete all administrative duties, including service reports, maintenance records, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, risk assessments, and COSHH requirements.
Qualifications (Essential)
  • City & Guilds 2365, 2357 Level 3 and NVQ 2356 AM2 (or equivalent)
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS : 7671 : 2018), preferably with Amendment 2
  • Recognised electrical apprenticeship
  • Full UK Driving Licence
Experience
  • Proven experience in electrical building services maintenance, including fault finding, repair, installation, and testing.
  • Strong background in both planned and reactive maintenance within commercial or facilities management environments.
  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety practices, including risk assessments and method statements.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi‑skilled engineering team and communicate professionally with clients and colleagues alike.
