Overview

Electrical Engineer – London (with daily travel across the organisation)

Our client is a faith-based charity. They seek to positively impact the lives of all members of society. They are now looking for an Electrical Engineer to join them on a full-time, permanent basis, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified electrician with experience in commercial maintenance and installations to join our client’s committed Property Services team.

The Role

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for keeping electrical systems across our client’s properties safe, compliant, and well-maintained.

Specifically, in this mobile role, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance, oversee all inspections, testing, and remedial works across various sites, and ensure that regulations are met.

Alongside this, you will complete minor installations and upgrades to existing systems, diagnose and repair electrical faults, and keep stakeholders fully informed about the safety and reliability of our client’s systems.

Additionally, you will:

  • Keep detailed maintenance records and reports
  • Undertake EICRs, PAT testing and emergency lighting inspections
  • Ensure safe working practices and adherence to health & safety standards
  • Assist with project work when required
About You

To be considered as an Electrical Engineer, you will need:

  • Experience in commercial electrical maintenance and installations
  • Experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS), UPS, generators, and LV systems
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • A City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • An 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) qualification
  • A full, valid driving licence and flexibility to travel across various sites
