Job Title: Level 3 Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: London (Central / Greater London)
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Start Date: Immediate
About the Role
You will join a dynamic building services team delivering high-quality reactive, planned preventative and compliance maintenance across commercial properties. Your main responsibilities will include electrical maintenance, fault-finding and repair works, ensuring safety, reliability and compliance. You will work across a variety of sites and systems, providing technical support and ensuring that building electrical infrastructure is fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled and reactive electrical maintenance tasks to agreed standards and timescales
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electrical faults and failures across commercial properties
- Ensure all electrical installations are compliant with current regulations (e.g. BS 7671 / Wiring Regulations) and relevant safety standards
- Assist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes and ensure records / logs are kept up to date
- Ensure compliance with statutory duties such as emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, inspection regimes etc.
- Participate in health & safety programmes; ensure safe working practices at all times
- Liaise with stakeholders including site managers, contractors, and clients to coordinate works
Person Specification
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs
- Strong knowledge of electrical regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to work independently, organise workload, and respond to emergencies / reactive call-outs
- Good communication skills (verbal & written)
- A proactive, hands-on attitude, with strong problem-solving skills
