The Role

• Lead, support, and mentor a small team of electrical design engineers
• Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring high-quality output
• Remain hands-on with electrical design work using EPLAN including ProPanel
• Ensure designs comply with UK Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations and EU Machinery Directive
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical design, controls, and project management
• Drive continuous improvement in design practices, documentation, and engineering standards
• Act as the technical point of contact for design-related queries from the shop floor or site

The Person

• Experienced electrical design engineer with a background of machinery automation
• Strong EPLAN skills essential (Pro Panel and P8)
• Confident working on projects ranging from £80k to £30M
• Strong knowledge of ProfiNET/EtherNET/IP networks and industrial safety systems (SISTEMA)
• Solid understanding of machinery safety standards and regulations
• Clear communicator with the ability to manage multiple tasks and lead by example

This would be an ideal opportunity for an experienced Eplan Design Engineer who is ready to step into a leadership position.

Head office is located in Nottinghamshire. This is a hybrid role - travel up to 2 days per week. Office is reachable within 90 minutes from Derby, Leicester, Loughborough, Newark-on-Trent, Nottingham, Melton Mowbray, Chesterfield, Beeston, Hucknall, Long Eaton, Lincoln, Bakewell & Grantham.
