Overview

Our client is going through significant growth and are now part of an organisation with a turnover of billion euros! The owners have committed to their site in Fife and significant investment is being made that will involve the transfer and manufacture of a product from one of their plants oversees. This will involve significantly capital outlay and the hiring of key individuals to help develop and manufacture the product and as such they are looking to hire an electrical design engineer.

This is a great opportunity for someone who's either early in their career or brings experience already — what matters most is a solid foundation in electrical design, a problem-solving mindset, and a willingness to support the development of the product.

What you'll be doing
  • Designing and developing electrical systems from concept through to production
  • Producing schematics, technical documentation, and testing plans
  • Collaborating with mechanical, manufacturing, and software teams
  • Supporting prototype builds and helping resolve design challenges
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and compliance efforts
What we're looking for
  • A relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Some exposure to electrical design work (could be through study, placements, or industry)
  • Familiarity with electrical design tools - we're flexible on which ones
  • Strong communication and a collaborative approach
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
