Overview

Electrical Design Engineer | Location: Kettering | Salary: Up To £66,000 - Subject to experience

My client are a dynamic independent mechanical and electrical UK based design consultancy and contractor. We operate in Healthcare, Education, Commercial and Industrial sectors. Harniss is a Low Carbon Consultancy and registered with Gas Safe and NICEIC.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed electrical designs, including schematics, LV distribution, lighting, small power & data, fire alarm, security layouts.
• Support the Design/Engineering team to ensure project deliverables are achieved.
• Undertake calculations in accordance with the latest British Standards.
• Make steps to minimise expenses and non-chargeable costs.
• are identified and tracked and targets are achieved.
• Attend design team meetings, internally and externally with clients.
• Communicate design solutions to internal stake holders and external customers.
• Use software such as AutoCAD, Trimble, Relux, Microsoft Office and Revit (not critical).
• Making sure the design fully aligns with the employers\' requirements, British Standards, and applicable regulations.

As an Electrical Design Manager you will play a critical part in the continued growth of the business through your client-facing role, you will being responsible for managing and prioritizing your workload, ensuring that the information you are responsible for is captured in the systems and communicated to the client in a timely fashion, to the highest standards.

Requirements

• Building Services Engineering HNC, or degree - equivalent within a relevant subject.
• CAD experience.
• Electrical engineering design knowledge.
