A leading manufacturing company in the UK is seeking an Electrical Assembler/Adjuster to provide technical support and perform electrical assembly on Mazak Machine Tools. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and have experience in assembly procedures. About the Job

Our client, Yamazaki Mazak is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. Jonathan Lee Workforce Solutions are the preferred supplier to Mazak. A position has arisen within the Assembly Department for an Electrical Assembler Adjuster.

Job Description
  • Electrical Assembly & Adjustment of Mazak Machine Tools (Lathes & Machining Centres).
  • Technical support production departments on electrical systems.
  • Provide technical support quickly to resolve machine breakdowns and line stoppages.
  • Electrically Test & validate new machine options including functional checking.
  • Preparing modification requests for the design changes (Electrical circuit & loom harness).
  • Validation of electrical assembly process documents & check sheets.
  • Identifying risks and implementing safety improvements.
  • Technical support to the Service & QA departments.
  • Be able to complete fault finding within a reasonable time frame.
  • Achieves very high-quality standard.
  • Able to complete all machines at 1.3 productivity.
  • Able to complete all standard options on all machines within the standard times.
  • Has the ability and willingness to train others on the training.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
  • Self-motivation, good time management & flexible.
  • Good communication, presentation skills & team player.
  • A good understanding of electrical engineering core principles.
  • Methodical and systematic with good problem–solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (Mechanical & Electrical).
  • Basic ability to read & interpret mechanical Pneumatic, Hydraulic circuits (Pending background).
  • Risk assessment experience & an appreciation of health & safety requirements.
  • Defining & documenting assembly procedures.
  • Working well with people of all abilities.
Desirable Criteria
  • Level 3 Apprenticeship in an electrical related subject (Also consider candidates close to completion of their level 3 apprenticeship) or Qualified Electrical Engineer with a recognised electrical qualification – 18th Edition.
  • Industrial Electrical Experience.
  • IT Literate in all Microsoft office Packages.

  • Overtime is paid at Time 1/3 first 2 hours then Time 1/2 thereafter each day. Saturday is Time 1/2 and Sunday Double Time.
Hours

The hours are a rotational shift pattern, which are:

  • AM Shift – 05:30am – 1:30pm Monday to Friday then onto the PM Shift.
  • PM Shift – 2:00pm – 10:30pm Monday to Thursday and Friday is 2:00pm – 8:00pm.
