Overview

This position is a fixed-term for 1 year and secondment opportunities will be considered for internal candidates. Are you ready to be an agent of positive change? The Department of Materials is seeking an ambitious, creative, and collaborative Education Manager to join our team and work closely with the Head of Administration and Finance (HAF). This is an exciting opportunity to help relaunch and revitalise our education administration team, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. We\'re looking for someone who will work to combine strategic vision with hands-on management experience - a leader who can inspire others, bring fresh ideas, and make things happen. You will play a central role in shaping how we support students and staff, ensuring our systems, processes, and services are not only effective but also future-focused.

Responsibilities / Roles
  • Provide leadership and management to the education administration team, guiding change and growth.
  • Embed a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in education administration processes and services.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the department, the wider University, and with students to ensure effective educational support structures.
Qualifications / Skills
  • Creativity and a "can-do" approach – somebody who sees opportunities and solutions, not obstacles.
  • Management and leadership skills with the confidence to guide a team through change and growth.
  • Understanding of Oxford\'s education support structures and functions, or the ability to quickly develop this knowledge and apply it effectively.
