Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver creative, well-structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum and exam board specifications.

• Set, mark and assess classwork, homework and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support student progress.

• Inspire critical thinking through debates, case studies and real-world economic examples.

• Track and monitor pupil attainment, maintaining accurate records and reporting to parents and senior leaders.

• Contribute to the development of the Economics curriculum and collaborate with colleagues across the Social Sciences department.

• Organise or support enrichment opportunities such as economics clubs, guest speakers, or educational visits.

• Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions and school-wide events.
