Job description
Nursery Nurse

We are a warm, welcoming, and child‑centric nursery committee committed to providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where every child can learn, grow, and flourish. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Nurse to join our team on either a short‑term or long‑term basis.

Role Responsibilities
  • Supporting the learning and development of children aged 0–5 in line with the EYFS framework
  • Creating engaging, age‑appropriate activities to support physical, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Promoting positive behaviour, independence, and social skills
  • Safeguarding children and ensuring their safety and well‑being at all times
  • Assisting with daily routines, including meals, personal care, and tidying the environment
  • Building strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Maintaining accurate observations and records as required
Requirements
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting
  • A good understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive, caring, and enthusiastic attitude
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new environments
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
