About The Peligoni Club

The Peligoni Club is a family-run members club on the beautiful island of Zakynthos, Greece. Our crèche provides a safe, caring and nurturing environment for our youngest guests – babies, toddlers and young preschool-aged children (4 months to 3 years). With calm indoor spaces, shaded outdoor areas and age-appropriate play, our Early Years team helps families feel supported so they can relax and enjoy their holiday.

About the Role

We’re looking for warm, confident and experienced Early Years Practitioners to join our childcare team this summer. You’ll work hands-on within the crèche, delivering excellent care, engaging activities and a welcoming atmosphere for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers.

Working as part of a supportive team, you’ll help create a calm, playful environment where children feel safe and parents feel reassured. You’ll be responsible for daily routines, age-appropriate activities, hygiene and safety while building positive relationships with families.

In addition, you’ll take part in our babysitting programme — a minimum of two evenings per week (paid in addition to your salary).

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality care for children aged 4 months to 3 years.
  • Create a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment tailored to individual needs.
  • Support daily routines including feeding, sleep, nappy changing and comfort.
  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate play, sensory activities and outdoor experiences.
  • Welcome families and gather key information about each child’s requirements.
  • Build friendly, reassuring relationships with parents and offer daily feedback.
  • Maintain excellent hygiene, cleanliness and safety standards throughout the crèche.
  • Carry out risk assessments and respond confidently to any incidents.
  • Prepare and serve snacks / meals in line with dietary needs and allergy guidance.
  • Work collaboratively with the childcare team to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Participate in evening babysitting (two evenings per week, paid extra) .
  • Support additional duties when required to help the club run smoothly.
About You

You will be someone who is :

  • Warm, caring and passionate about Early Years development.
  • Confident working with babies and toddlers, including those aged 4–12 months.
  • Energetic, patient and able to adapt to each child’s needs and rhythms.
  • Organised, proactive and reliable within a structured routine.
  • A strong communicator who builds trust easily with parents and colleagues.
  • Safety-conscious and confident following policies and procedures.
  • A positive, friendly team player who brings calm, kindness and enthusiasm to the day.
Essential Requirements
  • Level 3 CACHE Diploma in Childcare & Education (or equivalent).
  • Level 2 qualifications considered if actively working towards Level 3.
  • Proven experience with babies and toddlers in a nursery, crèche, or other Early Years setting.
  • Full Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable).
  • DBS Certificate, Garda Vetting or equivalent.
  • UK / EU passport holder.
