As a Sales Representative, you will play a key role in achieving the company's growth objectives by focusing on sales volume and gross profit through proactive customer engagement. You will be responsible for actively pursuing new customers, managing a strong sales pipeline, and collaborating closely with regional sales managers and branch staff. This is a field based role and your territory will cover Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

Responsibilities
  • Developing a sales plan for your territory, focusing on a mix of 90% gas and 10% hardgoods.
  • Identifying new customer targets and preparing a list of prospects with your Area Sales Manager.
  • Leading prospecting efforts through on-site visits to potential customers and competitors.
  • Selling and negotiating Energas products and services, aiming to quickly secure new contracts.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction is a top priority, addressing any complaints and escalating them to the Sales Manager as needed.
  • Abiding by all safety, health, and environmental policies.
Ideal candidate
  • Previous experience in sales and prospecting new customers
  • Any experience in the manufacturing or gas industry is a plus but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to confidently communicate through email, phone, and in person
  • A full clean driving license with an openness to regular travel across Derbyshire and Staffordshire
  • A strong grasp of numbers, and administrative tasks
