MS Dynamics Solution Architect

Role Purpose

KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions is building a world-class Microsoft Dynamics Practice focusing on advisory and implementation services related to Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM & ERP). The role involves leading the implementation of these systems and engagements involving Independent Programme Assurance when third parties deliver such programmes.

The Solution Architect will lead the technical delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM solutions on large, complex programmes or portfolios, driving deep technical expertise within DevOps and providing functional leadership. The role requires building strong business relationships at a senior level, championing innovation, sharing Thought Leadership, and collaborating globally to enhance Dynamics functionality, providing KPMG with a competitive edge.

The architect will also identify development needs within the team, provide coaching and mentoring, and promote collaboration.

Role Responsibilities
  • Lead customer delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM solutions on large, complex programmes, managing a team and cross-functional specialists.
  • Manage commercial and contractual aspects to ensure quality and profitability.
  • Execute projects to meet quality standards within a commercial context.
  • Manage scope and deliver timely, quality deliverables.
  • Create innovative, repeatable solutions to enhance business performance.
  • Ensure pre-sales engagements are delivered with rigour and attention to detail.
  • Identify and mitigate business/project risks, ensuring work fits capabilities and risk criteria.
  • Deliver consultancy according to methodologies, ensuring successful software implementation.
  • Conduct project reviews to identify lessons learned and improve future quality and planning.
  • Maintain Microsoft accreditation and stay updated with technical developments.
  • Promote firm values, inclusive collaboration, and drive change through motivating team members.
Knowledge & Skills (including Qualifications)
  • Deep technical expertise in DevOps and broad knowledge of Dynamics CRM capabilities, with appropriate certifications (CRM Online 2013, 2015, 2016, or 365).
  • Strong technical architecture experience, especially around integrating Microsoft Dynamics CRM with other solutions.
  • Extensive experience leading end-to-end delivery of complex CRM solutions, including systems integration.
  • Proven experience in CRM configuration, customization, workflows, dashboards, forms, views, and reports development.
  • Good understanding of Azure and cloud technologies.
  • Broad understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Specialism in one industry or sector is essential.
  • Experience with Agile methodology.
Experience and Background
  • Expertise in providing out-of-the-box and custom solutions in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Extensive experience as a CE consultant, capable of leading engagements and presenting to C-Suite stakeholders.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 as a Solution Architect.
  • Experience with large-scale CE implementations, focusing on reducing development effort and simplifying delivery.
  • Pre-sales experience.
  • Excellent presentation and demonstration skills.
  • Knowledge of business process mapping, modeling, and documentation.
  • Experience mentoring junior and offshore staff.
