Location: Newport
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 16:00
Contract: Full Time, 40 hours per week

We're looking for a Category C Driver to join our friendly and hardworking team in Newport. This is a busy, hands‑on role where no two days are the same, and where you'll be a key part of keeping our customers' projects moving.

About the Role

Based at our Newport depot, you'll be responsible for delivering and collecting hire equipment across the local area. As one of the main faces of Speedy, you'll build positive relationships with customers, represent our values, and ensure equipment arrives safely, on time, and ready for use.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Delivering and collecting hire equipment to and from customer sites within the local area.
  • Safely loading and unloading equipment, ensuring it is secure and transported correctly.
  • Carrying out vehicle and equipment checks to maintain safety and compliance.
  • Providing a friendly, professional service to customers and answering basic queries where needed.
  • Working closely with depot colleagues to support daily operations and schedules.
  • Accurately completing delivery paperwork and using company systems.
  • Working safely at all times and supporting Speedy's ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver, including responsible and sustainable working practices.

This role involves being active, spending time outdoors, and working in all weather conditions‑ideal for someone who enjoys variety and staying on the move.
