About the Role:

We are seeking an outstanding Drama Teacher with the opportunity for the right candidate to step into the Head of Drama role. This is an excellent opportunity to shape the creative vision and direction of the Drama department while making a lasting impact on students' lives.

As Head of Drama, you will be responsible for:
  • Leading the Drama curriculum across Key Stage 3 and 4, and Key Stage 5 (if applicable).
  • Developing and implementing innovative lesson plans that inspire students and foster a love for drama and theatre.
  • Supporting the professional development of the Drama team.
  • Organising and overseeing extra-curricular activities, including school productions and drama clubs.
  • Ensuring high standards of teaching and learning within the department.

As a Drama Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that challenge and motivate students, with the opportunity to develop and grow within a collaborative and supportive school environment.

What We Are Looking For:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong background in teaching Drama (secondary level).
  • A passion for performing arts and an ability to engage students through innovative teaching methods.
  • Experience in leading or coordinating extra-curricular drama activities is desirable for the Head of Drama role.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor colleagues (Head of Drama applicants).
