Overview

Drainage Assistant — London

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 + overtime OTE £10,000. Hours: Full Time/Permanent/Mon-Fri (45 hours) typically 5am - 4pm, subject to location of works.

We are looking for a Drainage Assistant to work alongside an experienced Drainage Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern and dynamic company with prospects within the drainage and pump industry.

Responsibilities
  • Extensive descale works for above and below ground drainage, including small bore and stack pipework internally, carried out via HPWJ, electromechanical milling machine and hand coring machine.
  • CCTV surveys, inspections and detailed investigations, fault finding and providing practical solutions to support client needs.
  • Support lead engineer with producing site drainage plans, identifying defects, design issues, pipe conditions and missed connections within the system.
  • Assist specialist teams with lining, patching and rehabilitation works.
  • Assist with Jetvac tanker works including line cleaning, root cutting, and confined space entry works.
  • Support drainage teams with clearance and blockage works as emergencies arise.
Requirements
  • The candidate should have experience in drainage or construction and be motivated to progress.
  • Full clean driver’s license is required.
  • Willingness to learn; self-motivated.
  • Occasional night shifts and overtime may be required.
  • Opportunity to become a fully qualified Drainage Engineer in time.
