Job description

We have exciting opportunities within Swindon Borough Council's Property Maintenance Gas team. If you are a Gas Engineer seeking a varied role, now is the time to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for servicing and maintaining gas appliances in our local 10,500 domestic rentable homes.

This role is 37 hours per week, either over five weekdays or a condensed rotating 4-day shift from Monday to Friday. Fluency in English is required for effective customer interactions, as per Part 7 of the Immigration Act.

Role Details and Benefits
  • Contractual call-out duties with additional pay:
  • Overtime/Call-out at x1.1/3 Monday to Sunday, x2 on bank holidays
  • Unsocial hours allowance of 30% (after 10pm and before 6am)
  • Standby pay of £2.09 per hour, up to £50.16 per day
