A local healthcare organization is seeking a Domestic Assistant to maintain cleanliness at Yeatman Hospital. The role involves working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 5pm to 9pm, ensuring high standards of cleanliness in clinical and non-clinical areas. Candidates must have knowledge of COSHH, previous experience, and the ability to communicate effectively. Full training and PPE are provided, along with support for DBS checks required for employment.

There is an exciting opportunity for a Cleaner to support our services at Yeatman Hospital.
This post is 20 hours per week.
Monday to Friday 5pm to 9pm.
The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving a high standard of cleanliness in a clinical ward based environment and also non‑clinical areas throughout the main hospital, ensuring that a clean, safe and comfortable environment is maintained. Full on‑site training is provided and PPE provision is also included.
Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
To support the Facilities Manager in their role and to ensure that the standard of cleanliness within the Trust is implemented and maintained.
Main duties will include vacuuming, mopping, general cleaning/damp dusting, cleaning bathrooms, toilets, emptying bins, use of mechanical floor cleaning machines.
This role involves working as a team, with a flexible approach, good communication skills and the ability to use your own initiative.
The post offers an opportunity to work extra hours as able – to cover sickness and staff holidays.
