A healthcare organization in Ayr is seeking a Domestic Assistant to support clinical services by providing essential cleaning services. Candidates should be physically fit and possess good communication skills, with experience in cleaning advantageous. Full training will be provided. An opportunity has arisen for a Domestic Assistant based at University Hospital Ayr.
You will provide a wide and varied range of Domestic Services which support Clinical Services throughout Ayrshire and Arran in line with NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification to fulfil Healthcare Environment Inspectorate Standards and meet Facilities Monitoring Tool Targets.

Working within the Domestic Services Department you will undertake a variety of housekeeping/cleaning duties. Experience with industrial cleaning equipment or working within a healthcare setting, especially mental health areas, would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given. The ability to work on both your own initiative and as part of a team and good communication skills are essential.
The post is physically demanding and you are required to complete scheduled labour intensive tasks, cleaning/housekeeping duties and manual handling and manoeuvring of equipment/machinery/supplies. You should be physically fit, understand the importance of cleanliness in a healthcare environment.
