Job summary

A global spirits company in Scotland is seeking a skilled Engineer to support the Bowmore and Laphroaig distilleries. The role involves ensuring operational efficiency and safety through maintenance and improvements. Ideal candidates will have an HNC in Engineering and experience in the Scotch Whisky industry or similar FMCG. Proficiency in multiple continuous improvement methodologies is desired, along with strong communication skills. This position emphasizes teamwork and proactive problem-solving.

Qualifications

• HNC in Electrical/mechanical Engineering or Multi-Disciplinary Engineering required.
• Recognized Engineering Apprenticeship is essential.
• Experience in Scotch Whisky or a similar FMCG environment preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Valid driver's license for driving to remote plants is required.

Responsibilities

• Main engineering contact for Bowmore and Laphroaig distilleries.
• Ensure efficient Planned Preventative Maintenance practices.
• Engage in Hazard Awareness reporting and action.
• Carry out maintenance under Lockout Tagout (LOTO) system.
• Participate in Daily Operation Review and MDT meetings.
