Overview

Disrepair Surveyor – Leyland, Lancashire – Permanent

We are currently working on behalf of a social housing provider in Lancashire, to recruit for a Disrepair Surveyor on a permanent basis.

The purpose of the role will predominately be to carry out surveys across their housing stock, with particular focus on damp, mould and condensation.

Responsibilities
  • Providing an efficient inspection and surveying service to the company's housing stock and related assets
  • Diagnosing causes of damp, mould and condensation
  • Documenting findings of the surveys
  • Overseeing the progress of disrepair cases through to resolution
  • Liaising with external specialists
  • Producing and updating programmes or schedules of works, and monitoring progress
  • Providing cover and support to other property surveyors as necessary
Requirements
  • Experience within identifying, diagnosing and preventing damp, mould and condensation
  • Proven experience within a similar role surrounding surveying
  • Experience managing repair work from initial inspection through to completion
  • HNC or equivalent in a building related subject (desirable)
  • Full UK Driving license and access to own vehicle
