Are you a building surveyor with a strong track record in housing disrepair cases? We're working with a forward-thinking local authority that's looking to bring in an experienced professional to support their housing team.

Role Details

• Location: Nottingham
• Contract Length: Initial 6 months, with potential for extension to 12 months
• Rate: £35‑£40 per hour
• Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of properties subject to disrepair claims
• Produce detailed reports and schedules of work, including cost estimates
• Liaise with tenants, contractors, and legal teams to resolve cases
• Prepare and review specifications for remedial works
• Ensure compliance with housing legislation and standards

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience handling Section 11 disrepair cases in a public sector or housing setting
• Strong understanding of building defects, housing law, and repair protocols
• Skilled in producing clear, evidence-based reports
• Familiarity with surveying tools and property management systems
• Self‑motivated, organised, and confident working independently
