Overview

As a qualified Dispensing Optician, you will be providing a high level of customer care and expert advice to make a real difference to our customers and keep them coming back. You will work in one of our stores, reporting to the Store Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Providing clinical support in store for regulated dispensing
  • Inspiring your Optical team by sharing your knowledge to offer the very best service
  • Listening to the needs of customers and offer expertise and advice
  • Helping customers choose the correct eyewear and provide guidance to ensure the best product suited to their needs
  • Supporting the team to deliver an efficient model day and operational processes to ensure the business trades legally
  • Providing expert knowledge for patients with more specialist requirements
What you’ll need to have
  • Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
  • Passion for your own learning and development, completing all CPD training as part of the GOC requirement

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dispensing Optician to join our friendly team at Boots Opticians Fosse Park. The practice was refitted in October 2023 and features four modern testing rooms with advanced equipment including OCT and Phoropter. We offer flexible working hours, with clinics running from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm and alternate weekend days. You’ll be part of a fun, supportive team of 26 colleagues in a busy, vibrant store. Located in a prime, easily accessible area with free parking, this is a great opportunity to develop your career in a thriving practice.
