About Four Hills Education Trust

Four Hills Education Trust is a newly formed multi-academy trust in Shropshire, bringing together five like-minded primary schools: Millbrook, Albrighton, Woodlands, William Reynolds, and Meadows Primary Schools and Nurseries. Our Trust is rooted in the local community and inspired by a global outlook, united by a belief in the power of collaboration, high expectations, and inclusive education.

At Four Hills, our vision is to nurture confident, curious learners ready to thrive in a changing world. Our schools are places where children feel safe, seen, and celebrated, where critical thinking, empathy, resilience, and ambition are cultivated in equal measure. Our CARE values (Critical Thinking, Aspiration, Resilience, Empathy) underpin everything we do, ensuring every child is empowered to achieve their full potential. We believe in supporting not just children, but also families, staff, governors, and the wider community, recognising that lasting impact comes from working together.

Job Overview

We are seeking an inspirational and values-driven leader to join the Four Hills Education Trust central team as our Director of School Flourishing. This newly created senior role is designed for a current or former headteacher with a proven track record in school improvement, staff development, and inclusive practice.

The successful candidate will provide visible, expert educational leadership and hands‑on support across all five trust schools, working in close partnership with the CEO and Trust Development Lead. You will act as a trusted adviser to headteachers and school teams, offering strategic direction and practical guidance, and will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering high-quality professional development, Ofsted readiness, and outreach programmes.

A key part of the role is leading on behaviour, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), and SEND, supporting schools to develop positive, inclusive cultures and respond to complex needs. You will champion trauma‑informed and relational approaches, facilitate working groups, and foster networks both within and beyond the trust.

This is not a traditional “Director of Education” post. We are looking for someone who is passionate about nurturing confident, curious learners, modelling our CARE values (Critical thinking, Aspiration, Resilience, Empathy), and committed to ethical leadership, collaboration, and high expectations for all.
