Information about the position

As the Interim Director of Performance Management and People Growth & Development at Vinted, you will be instrumental in leading the development and implementation of a visionary performance management (PM) system while setting and executing a strategic direction for the People Growth & Development (PGD) function. Your leadership will be pivotal in transitioning our organization to a pay-for-performance model and creating a dynamic growth ecosystem that enhances our employees' skills and capabilities. You will focus on strategic initiatives that integrate internally designed growth programs with innovative external offerings, ensuring we meet the evolving developmental needs of our workforce.

This is a 15-month contract with the possibility of extension.

In this position, youll
  • Lead the design and implementation of a cutting-edge performance management system, incorporating performance rating scales and frameworks for quantitative goal-setting and evaluation.
  • Set and drive the strategic vision for the PGD function, aligning it with Vinted's organizational objectives to enhance workforce capabilities and foster a culture of continuous personal development.
  • Develop a comprehensive growth strategy that combines external offerings with internally designed interventions to deliver a diverse and impactful developmental experience.
  • Oversee the creation, delivery, and assessment of targeted personal growth interventions that meet the developmental needs of our employees, enhancing their skills and performance.
  • Identify and collaborate with external growth partners to expand the breadth and depth of our developmental offerings, ensuring access to the latest industry knowledge and practices.
  • Conduct a comprehensive review of our current performance management system to assess its effectiveness, alignment with organizational goals, and areas for improvement.
  • Lead organizational change management efforts, aligning PM and PGD initiatives to ensure seamless integration and sustained adoption.
  • Mentor and guide senior leaders, enhancing their ability to make informed, strategic decisions that drive both performance and personal growth outcomes.
  • Utilize data analytics to inform the development of PM and PGD strategies, ensuring decisions are evidence-based and contribute to the achievement of organizational goals.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, People Operations, and Growth & Development teams to align strategies and promote a holistic approach to employee development.
  • Stay updated on industry trends in performance management and personal growth & development, applying insights to maintain a competitive edge and enhance organizational scalability.
About you
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing complex performance management systems and leading PGD functions.
  • Ability to create and execute strategic plans for the PM and PGD functions that drive business success and enhance organizational growth culture.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of influencing senior executives and leading transformative initiatives in a complex organizational environment.
  • Proficient in using data to inform strategy, measure impact, and drive decision-making across the PM and PGD spheres.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills, working effectively across various teams and functions.
  • Fluent in English; additional language proficiency is a plus.
