Job description

Lead the drive for consistency, speed, and excellence in STACK's European delivery program. STACK Infrastructure is building Europe's next generation of data centers - scalable, sustainable, and ready to power the world's digital future. To accelerate our delivery performance, we're hiring a Director of Infrastructure Readiness / Commissioning – a strategic yet hands‑on leader who will shape how STACK bridges design, procurement, construction, and commissioning across our growing portfolio.

This is a unique opportunity to define and lead a function that sits at the heart of STACK's delivery success. You'll be the link between our engineering, procurement, and construction teams – ensuring every project moves efficiently from design to “Ready for Service”. Your work will directly improve Time to Market, strengthen RFS predictability, and help STACK deliver for our clients with confidence and precision.

If you want to make an impact at scale – where your decisions directly influence delivery speed, quality, and client satisfaction – this is your opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own infrastructure readiness across multiple European projects – from procurement through commissioning.
  • Drive alignment between General Contractors, OFCI vendors, and STACK's internal teams to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Support procurement strategy, evaluating OFCI and GC buyouts to eliminate scope gaps and optimize vendor engagement.
  • Accelerate commissioning by validating schedules, optimizing sequences, and applying lessons learned across projects.
  • Lead continuous improvement, developing metrics, benchmarking GC performance, and embedding QA/QC best practices across the portfolio.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to project teams, guiding decisions that improve predictability, performance, and integration.
What You Bring
  • 10+ years' experience in data center design, construction, or commissioning, ideally across Europe.
  • A solid background in engineering or construction with deep technical understanding of MEP and commissioning readiness.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence in matrixed, multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of procurement and vendor management.
  • Skilled in schedule validation, QA/QC oversight, and process optimization.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • PE or Chartered Engineer qualification preferred, but not essential.
Who You Are
  • A decisive, pragmatic leader who thrives on delivery excellence.
  • Able to navigate complexity, connect teams, and drive results.
  • Passionate about improving processes and reducing time to market.
  • Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating across regions and disciplines.
  • Excited by the opportunity to build something new – a function that sets industry benchmark.
Role Practicalities
  • Reports to: VP, Infrastructure Delivery.
  • Location: Flexible across Europe.
  • Travel: Approx. 1–2 site or stakeholder visits per month.
Why Join STACK?

At STACK, you'll help shape how Europe delivers its most critical infrastructure. You'll join a fast‑growing, international team that values integrity, innovation, and collaboration. You'll have the autonomy to drive meaningful change – improving how world‑class data centers come to life, from concept to commissioning.
