Job Description:

Our global consulting client's Strategy function continues to grow, and they are seeking a senior leader for their Retail, Consumer, and Leisure team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial due diligence, deal strategy, and private equity, along with additional expertise in growth strategy, operational efficiency, and enterprise transformation.

Role and responsibilities:

  1. Maintain client relationships, especially within the UK/European Private Equity and M&A sectors, and generate project opportunities through M&A-related work such as Commercial DD, M&A Strategy, and Value Creation.
  2. Serve as a key contact for client relationships and understand client needs proactively.
  3. Communicate effectively in writing, presentations, and verbally, including leading client presentations and challenging senior stakeholders.
  4. Lead complex projects, ensuring delivery meets client expectations and representing the firm professionally.
  5. Guide teams to produce high-quality, client-ready deliverables with minimal oversight.
  6. Review analyses for credibility and accuracy, and identify new market and thought leadership opportunities.
  7. Take leadership roles within the firm, including internal process improvements and mentorship of junior staff.
  8. Ensure adherence to risk management frameworks and internal policies.
  9. Bring experience from top strategy consulting firms or industry, with a strong understanding of consumer sector value drivers and trends.
  10. Manage large projects from planning to execution, including recent M&A transactions in the consumer space.
  11. Generate new business opportunities, lead proposals, and develop client relationships.
  12. Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, and foster team development.
