Job description
Overview

At CGI, we're driving innovation in payments worldwide - and you'll play a key role in shaping the future. As Director (Payments Offering) for UK and Europe, you'll define, lead, and deliver our All Payments IP offering, ensuring it continues to stand out as a market-leading solution. You'll work at the intersection of strategy, product, and client delivery, building trusted partnerships with financial institutions, influencing product direction, and supporting CGI's global sales efforts. This is an opportunity to take ownership of high-impact initiatives, creatively position our offerings in a fast-moving market, and be supported by a collaborative international community of experts as you grow your career. CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK 'Best Employer' by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you'll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We'll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go. This is a hybrid position but ideally you will be based within a commutable distance of London, as this is where the majority of our team are based, and work from our London office between 2/3 days a week. You will be expected to travel to clients/conferences/CGI Offices in UK and Europe as required.

Responsibilities
  • Define and execute CGI's All Payments offering strategy in collaboration with global program leads.
  • Inform product roadmaps by shaping requirements for future functionality.
  • Develop consulting-led offerings to support clients' payments modernisation journeys.
  • Identify target markets and create compelling messaging for events, social media, and campaigns.
  • Educate CGI members globally, from internal media to training business partners in GBUs.
  • Actively pitch clients and prospects, articulating the value of CGI's payments solutions.
  • Support sales teams with subject matter expertise throughout the deal lifecycle.
  • Progress opportunities through complex, long-duration sales cycles.
  • Manage sales pipelines across multiple geographies and business units.
  • Develop business cases and compelling commercial proposals.
  • To succeed in this role, bring deep knowledge of payments and financial services, combined with proven commercial expertise and a track record of influencing product and market strategies; you will need to engage at senior levels, be creative in developing go-to-market approaches, and thrive in an international, fast-paced environment.
  • Extensive payments or financial services experience, ideally across multiple markets.
  • Proven ability to define offerings and support product roadmap development.
  • Experience supporting complex, long-duration sales cycles with early-adopter clients.
  • Strong pre-sales expertise, including building business cases and proposals.
  • Track record of managing pipelines across geographies and business units.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, including business process mapping/re-engineering.
  • Fluent in English, with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and in teams.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in Agile environments and tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • European language(s).
  • Ability to run large-scale client/user workshops.
  • Experience working in globally distributed teams.
