Job Summary

The Associate Producer supports the creation, development and delivery of high‑quality digital video content for ESPN’s UK and international audiences. The role brings compelling sports stories to life across YouTube and ESPN’s digital platforms. It is ideal for someone with strong editorial instincts, a passion for sport and hands‑on experience in digital video production.

Work five days out of seven, with regular weekend shifts and varying hours that may start early or finish late. This is an office‑based hybrid role, with some days spent in the Hammersmith, London office and others working from home.

The Opportunity & Responsibilities
  • Identify trending, “must‑see” moments from games or social platforms and translate them into engaging digital video opportunities.
  • Participate with internal and external teams in creating and distributing content that activates new audiences.
  • Analyse usage and performance metrics to enhance and improve content.
  • Manage production timelines to ensure projects are executed on time.
  • Maintain proficiency in the latest trends, technology and best practices for digital video content on YouTube and ESPN owned and operated digital platforms.
  • Ensure edits meet ESPN’s editorial, visual and brand standards; deliver accurate, well‑researched video content.
  • Hit deadlines for daily content and bigger productions effectively and independently.
  • Technically optimise content for YouTube, web and app best practice (correct metadata, titles, descriptions and thumbnails).
  • Be dependable on shoots and during fast‑turnaround moments.
  • Represent the team professionally in cross‑functional meetings.
  • Make sound calls when reacting to breaking news or fast‑moving sports stories.
  • Spot potential issues (rights, accuracy, tone) and escalated appropriately.
The Experience We Require From You
  • Experience in digital video production and distribution, ideally within sport or entertainment.
  • Experience working on a branded YouTube channel.
  • Strong editing skills (Premiere Pro essential; After Effects a bonus).
  • Good understanding of YouTube.
  • Shooting experience, with confidence to go on solo shoots.
  • Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and deliver against tight deadlines.
  • Passion for sport and awareness of key news cycles, events and personalities.
