Digital Internal Communications Platforms Manager
Colt DCS is seeking an innovative, self‑driven individual to manage our digital internal communications platforms. This role is based in London, Greater London, and involves working closely with the Internal Communications team to drive engagement and improve our intranet and internal social media presence.
Responsibilities
- Intranet Management: input into and drive the internal intranet strategy for DCS; proactively review and improve the intranet to ensure all regions and functions are represented with up-to-date information; report on and use metrics to drive engagement.
- Support in creating and delivering intranet pages and articles; ensure the intranet clearly illustrates DCS’s values, purpose and vision; use expertise and metrics to iterate and improve technical capability.
- Internal Social Media Management: support and lead implementation of DCS’s new internal social media channel; create and own channel governance, including roles, responsibilities, group permissions and group types; drive internal social media strategy and regularly track & report on metrics to suggest future improvements.
- Town Hall Technical Support: assist with end‑to‑end process of quarterly townhalls; lead technical support for virtual and in‑person townhalls, including Teams and hybrid set‑ups; suggest innovative enhancements to improve end‑user experience.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: work cross‑functionally with HR, IT and business units to ensure digital channels meet employee needs; support stakeholders in updating their area of the intranet.
- Analytics & Reporting: use analytics tools (SharePoint analytics, Viva Insights, Google Analytics) to track engagement and present data‑driven recommendations to stakeholders.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years managing internal digital communication platforms such as intranets, internal social media tools (e.g., Yammer, Workplace by Meta, Viva Engage).
- Proven ability to drive engagement through digital channels using content strategy and analytics.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience successfully implementing a new internal social channel within a global business.
- Hands‑on experience in intranet content creation, structure optimisation, and user experience improvements.
- Strong expertise with SharePoint as an intranet platform.
- Experience implementing or managing internal social media channels, including setting up governance frameworks (permissions, roles, group types).
- Strong writing and editing skills for internal articles, announcements, and intranet pages.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders to ensure content aligns with company values and tone of voice.
- Experience supporting virtual and hybrid internal events (e.g., Town Halls), including familiarity with Microsoft Teams or similar platforms.
- Comfortable troubleshooting basic AV and tech issues during live events.
- Proficiency in using analytics tools to track engagement and presenting data‑driven recommendations.
