We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Digital and Social Media Assistant to join our marketing team. In this role, you will be the voice of our brand across our key social media platforms, with a special focus on creating engaging video content. You will be responsible for day-to-day social media management, content creation, and community engagement.
This role is perfect for someone with 1-2 years of hands-on social media experience who is passionate about digital trends and is eager to learn and grow their skills in website management and digital advertising.

· Direct Mentorship: You will work daily with the Head of Department. This close working relationship ensures you are always aligned with our strategic goals and provides you with a unique opportunity to learn from senior leadership.
· Intensive Training: We don’t expect you to know everything on day one. You will undergo an intensive training period covering our specific brand voice, website management systems, and our approach to Meta Ads. We are committed to giving you the tools you need to succeed.

· Skill Expansion: Beyond social media, you will gain hands-on experience in broader digital management, preparing you for a well-rounded career in marketing.
· Location: While this position is online-based. You are required to attend occasional meetings at the HQ in Blackpool, Lancashire. (this can be overseen for an exceptional candidate).
Key Responsibilities
o Develop, create, and schedule engaging and on-brand content for our social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn.
o Create and manage our TikTok account, with a primary focus on filming and editing short-form videos that are creative, on-trend, and drive engagement.
o Write compelling, clear, and error-free copy for all social media posts and blog, ensuring a consistent brand voice.
o Design simple graphics and visual assets for social media posts using Canva and video editing solutions.
o Update liquid content on the app.
· Community Engagement:
o Monitor all social media channels for comments, messages, and brand mentions.
o Engage with our community in a timely, professional, and friendly manner to foster a positive relationship with our audience.
o Set up, run, and monitor advertising campaigns on Meta (Facebook & Instagram).
o Receive training to assist with basic website updates and using our Content Management System (CMS), such as publishing blog posts, updating text, and changing images. No coding knowledge is required, understanding HTML is a plus.
o Track and report on key social media performance metrics (e.g., engagement rate, reach, follower growth) to help inform future strategy.
o Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies to ensure our content remains fresh and relevant.
· Other Responsibilities
o Perform other duties and assist with special projects as reasonably required by the team, ensuring they align with the general scope and level of the role.
Required Skills and Qualifications
· Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in a social media management or digital marketing role.
· Platform Expertise: Proven experience creating content for and managing professional accounts on above mentioned social media platforms. Also, a strong portfolio or clear examples of creating engaging video content for TikTok and/or Instagram Reels.
· Technical Basics: Fundamental knowledge of Meta Ads Manager, including an understanding of campaign objectives and audience targeting. Willingness to be trained on website management (no coding required).
· Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to maintain a consistent brand voice that is professional and promotes a positive, peaceful community environment.
· Creative Mindset: A proactive and creative mindset with the ability to generate new ideas independently and staying ahead of digital trends.
· Adaptability & Flexibility: A highly adaptable approach to work, with the ability to pivot between tasks and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Team Player Mindset: A collaborative spirit and a "can-do" attitude, with a willingness to support the team by fulfilling other duties outside the core job description as needed.
· Organization: Strong organizational and time-management skills, ensuring all deadlines are met across various platforms.
Desired (Nice-to-Have) Skills
· Experience using social media scheduling tools (e.g., Zoho Marketing Suite).
· Basic understanding of SEO principles.
· Experience with email marketing platforms.
Salary, Hours and Location
Part time - 20 hours per week.
Salary £13,988 per annum.
Hybrid role - must be able to attend office in Blackpool, Lancashire as required by the firm.
