Could you work as part of a multi-disciplinary team committed to improving the health of people with diabetes across Tayside? The Nutrition and Dietetic Service in Tayside is seeking to recruit a dietitian to work within our specialist diabetes team.

The postholder will work as a member of the specialist Tayside Dietetic Diabetes Team and will provide a clinical service in secondary care for people in Tayside living with diabetes. The post holder will be expected to work closely with the multi‑disciplinary diabetes team taking a pro‑active approach in the clinical care of patients, service improvement and pathway development. The primary clinical focus of the post will be on patients with type 1 diabetes requiring insulin therapy including hybrid closed loop systems. There will also be opportunity to work in the antenatal clinic supporting women with type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes.

The Tayside Nutrition & Dietetic Service promotes collaborative working across all our teams in different settings and specialities. This enables and encourages the development and implementation of pathways, standards and innovative practice. It also allows for extensive peer support and opportunities for professional development. We are committed to the training of dietetic students, medical students and other healthcare professionals.

Excellent inter‑personal and communications skills and the ability to demonstrate good team working, time management as well as being able to work autonomously are required. Ideally candidates should have some previous experience of working with patients with type 1 diabetes.
