We’re recruiting on behalf of a major public sector organisation for an experienced Development & Commercial Estates Manager to lead a high-value, multi-asset property portfolio exceeding £500m.

This role plays a key part in driving financial resilience, supporting service delivery, and delivering commercial growth across a diverse estate including offices, industrial, logistics, rural assets and development land.

The Role
  • Lead and deliver a large investment and commercial property programme.
  • Drive strategic planning, asset performance and long-term estate optimisation.
  • Develop and implement acquisition, disposal and investment strategies.
  • Identify underperforming assets and lead value-add or disposal plans.
  • Oversee capital and revenue programmes, budgets and reporting.
  • Manage internal teams and external consultants to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Prepare strategic reports and maintain robust governance for all property decisions.
  • Represent the organisation with key stakeholders and external partners.
About You
  • Senior experience in estates, asset management or property development.
  • Strong commercial insight with a track record of delivering results.
  • Confident managing complex portfolios and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder and communication skills.
  • Full driving licence required.
