We’ve designed our programme to provide a combination of practical skills development, technical learning including 20% of your time dedicated to a mixture of virtual and classroom training and opportunities to apply it on ground‑breaking projects whilst gaining a Digital and Technology Solutions Professional (BSc) Degree from the University of Exeter.

About Regulatory & Cross‑Product Technology

Within Deutsche Bank's Investment Bank Division, the Investment Bank Regulatory & Cross‑Product Technology Group (CM Tech) plays a critical role at the core of our operations. We are responsible for the Party Data system, a central pillar of the bank's strategy to increase the quality of client reference data and operate a class‑leading perpetual Know‑Your‑Client (KYC) process. Technology in CM Tech isn't just a supporting function; it's driving fundamental transformations that reshape how we manage critical client data, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver innovative financial solutions across the Investment Bank.

About Corporate Bank Technology Production

Corporate Bank Technology Production is the backbone of Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Bank, ensuring stability and resilience across critical applications that support global banking operations. We manage over 550 applications across domains such as Payments, Trade Finance, Client Services, and Core Banking, operating globally. Our mission: “Making Production Better” by reducing incidents, resolving issues quickly, enabling safer change, and driving automation.

As an Application Support Engineer Apprentice, you’ll gain hands‑on experience supporting mission‑critical banking applications. You’ll learn how production environments operate, assist with incident resolution, and develop technical skills that underpin modern financial services.

You’ll spend part of your time in structured learning and the rest applying your knowledge on live systems, working alongside experienced engineers in areas such as incident triage, risk management, and automation.

About Post Trade Technology

The Post‑Trade Production Engineering Technology Team is responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, and resilience of the systems that support post‑trade processing across the enterprise. The team provides end‑to‑end operational oversight of critical platforms—including clearing, settlement, confirmation, and regulatory reporting—while driving continuous improvement through automation, observability, and robust incident management practices. Partnering closely with development, operations, and business stakeholders, the team delivers high‑quality production support, optimises system performance, and implements strategic engineering solutions that safeguard the integrity of downstream trade workflows.
