Job summary

An independent dessert company in Greater London is seeking a part-time assistant to help prepare desserts. This role involves safely operating kitchen equipment, maintaining a clean workspace, and assisting the lead baker with special projects. The ideal candidate will have food handling experience, excellent English skills, and a passion for baking. Evening shifts from 5pm to 11pm. Competitive hourly wage ranging from £8 to £13.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing and handling food preferred, training will be provided.
• Excellent English comprehension required, both written and spoken.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of desserts.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (Waffle Machine, Mixers, Blenders, Ovens, etc.).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment.
• Clean dishes and utensils.
• Support the lead baker/pastry chef in special projects and custom orders.
• Assist with packaging, labeling, and customer orders.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing and handling food (preferable). Training will be given to the right candidate.
• Excellent comprehension of reading, writing and speaking English.
• Strong attention to detail, work efficiently and a love for precision.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and during busy holiday seasons.
• Team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic.
• Passion for baking, cooking and desserts.
