Overview

Job Title: Despatch Operator

Location: Cardiff

Pay Rate: £13 - £15.43

Job Type: Temporary on going

Shifts: Shifts will be issued weekly. Candidates need to be fully flexible for days, afternoons and nights. Shifts will be starting at 8am, 10.30am, 12pm or 5pm.

About the Role

We’re currently looking for a Despatch Operative to join our busy warehouse team in Cardiff. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring all customer orders are processed, handled, and despatched accurately, safely, and on time. This position requires a hands-on, flexible, and proactive individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a strong ‘Safety First’ approach, reporting hazards and promoting a Zero Harm culture.
  • Follow all site procedures and training to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Carry out various despatch tasks such as picking, loading, unloading, and product control.
  • Work towards daily performance targets using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Take ownership of personal development and show a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Keep work areas clean, organised, and audit-ready at all times.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth warehouse operations and on-time delivery.
