Teacher of Design and Technology (Resistant Materials) - Wirral Secondary School

Location: Wirral
Start Date: September 2025
Duration: Until October half-term (with potential to extend until Christmas)
Pay: Up to 232.56 per day (depending on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a passionate and skilled Teacher of Design and Technology to join a successful secondary school on the Wirral. This is a long-term opportunity, starting in September and initially running until October half-term, with the strong possibility of extension until Christmas.

The school are seeking a talented Design and Technology Teacher who specialises in Resistant Materials and can deliver engaging, creative and challenging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Role
  • Teach Design and Technology with a focus on Resistant Materials.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess, track and report on pupil progress.
  • Inspire students to develop a love for practical design, creativity and problem-solving.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and department.
The Ideal Candidate
  • A qualified Teacher of Design and Technology (QTS or QTLS).
  • Specialism in Resistant Materials is essential.
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to engage, motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Design & Technology.
