A Design Engineer position has become available within a business that supplies high-value technologies right across the world. On-site they produce a range of complex products using modern-day manufacturing techniques and supply these to a broad range of customers. Located in the Ashby-De-La-Zouch area, this company is working through a considerable period of growth and is offering a salary of circa £45,000, flexible working hours, early finish on a Friday, staff awards, and progression opportunities where possible for the right engineering professional.

Responsibilities
  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) by designing and developing tooling, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
  • Create and maintain drawings, BOMs, and production documentation, ensuring ERP data accuracy.
  • Support feasibility reviews, manufacturability analyses, and technical assessments.
  • Provide engineering support to production, resolving tooling, process, and material issues.
  • rive improvement through lean initiatives, tooling upgrades, and design standardisation.
  • Support root cause analysis, process validation, and integration of engineering changes.
Desirable Skills And Experience
  • Experience within a similar role - NPI Design Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer etc.
  • Strong experience using 3D software packages such as Catia, or Solidworks.
  • Proven background in design or manufacturing engineering within a production environment.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals / modern manufacturing methods.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks to deadline.
