A leading healthcare organization in Liverpool is seeking a Deputy Ward Manager for Ward 11. The successful candidate will support the Ward Nurse Manager, ensuring high standards of patient care while leading teams. Key qualifications include NMC registration and management experience. This position offers a full-time contract with a salary range of £38,682 - £46,580 per annum.

Role: Deputy Ward Nurse Manager on Ward 9 Broadgreen Hospital. Band 6. The role involves supporting the Ward Nurse Manager in her absence and maintaining high quality patient standards on the ward. The post holder will work without direct supervision and will take charge of the Ward/Department in the absence of the Ward/Department Manager, who holds continuing responsibility. The post holder will operate within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and DBS checks are required (enhanced).
Main duties include coordinating the Ward/Department on a day-to-day basis, planning, allocation and evaluation of work, and providing specialist knowledge to nursing staff. The Deputy Ward Nurse Manager will assist in reviewing and updating procedures and protocols, develop methods to identify and improve quality of patient care, and lead in line with Trust objectives, targets, quality standards and resource constraints.
Coordination of ward/department on a day-to-day basis, planning and evaluating work by teams or individuals. Provide specialist nursing knowledge to staff. Promote critical, analytical approaches to nursing care and ensure procedures and protocols are up to date. Develop methods to identify, maintain and improve patient care quality through best practice and benchmarking. Ensure consideration of patients\' customs, values and beliefs. Explore expanded practice to optimise patient care within Trust policies.
