Job description

Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with experience in mental health? We are looking for someone with previous Band 7 experience to take on a clinical and operational leadership role in a friendly, supportive and dedicated service. As Deputy Team Manager for the North & West AMHT (Witney), you will support the Consultant Psychiatrist (Clinical Lead) and Team Manager (Operational Lead), to provide clinical and leadership support to the wider team.

Responsibilities
  • Providing day‑to‑day management and clinical supervision to staff, and supporting the ongoing development and performance management of the team.
  • Undertaking clinical duties, including duty shifts, conducting assessments and managing a small caseload.
  • Liaising with other services and stakeholders as required, often acting as a link person for complex situations.
  • Acting as Duty Manager on a rota that does include weekends and out of hours working (full shadowing support will be provided for those new to this responsibility).
  • Deputising for the Team Manager as required.

We are also part of a University teaching hospital and students may sometimes accompany professionals at appointments.
