Job description

Deputy Programme Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Programme Manager to start in September for 8 months.

Role Details: Hybrid work (2 days in-office, 2 days remote), 28 hours/week, 4 days, £28,633 annual salary, £22.52/hour.

Who Will You Be Working For?

Our client is an established non-profit healthcare membership body.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Assist the programme manager in managing and developing the College Centre for Quality Improvement’s peer-review networks and accreditation programs.
  • Line manage project staff, including workload management, performance reviews, and development through supervision sessions.
  • Assist in recruiting new staff and conducting inductions, including probation processes.
  • Develop and deliver project plans to meet objectives and deadlines under supervision.
  • Visit mental health services across the UK, leading review teams and facilitating discussions with clinicians, service users, and carers. Some visits may require overnight stays.
  • Manage daily financial administration (invoicing, expenses) and support budget management and forecasting.
  • Produce project materials such as guidance documents, updates, papers for publication, and newsletters.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to support project evaluation.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working with public sector services.
  • Report writing and editing skills.
  • Experience managing large electronic databases and ensuring data quality.
  • Confident use of SPSS or similar statistical software.
  • Knowledge of project management and research methodologies.
