Job description

Queens Park Group Surgery based in Bedford are looking for a deputy practice manager to join their team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the practice and business manager, this role involved managing the administrative functions, assisting with HR matters and supporting the implementation of policies and procedures for the surgery.

Main duties of the job
  • Day to day support to the practice manager.
  • Ensure the efficient running of the reception, appointment bookings whilst monitoring demand.
  • Oversee medical record management.
  • Point of contact for queries.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Manage any patient feedback and/or complaints.
  • Assist in recruitment, inductions and training.
  • Manage rotas and absence management.
  • Monitor compliance.
  • Liaise with the Primary Care Network Manager on a regular basis.
  • Visit other sites once a month.

We are a very long-established practice working across two sites in Bedford, looking after 12,500 patients. We are also care-taking another local practice in Bedford, with a list size of 9,000 patients.
