Deputy Nurse Manager:

We are looking to recruit a Deputy Nurse Manager to join our busy Managerial Team in our office based in Belfast. With a broad client base across all of England, Wales and Northern Ireland, JustNurses is one of the UK’s leading nursing recruitment agencies. The company is a 30-year-old family-owned business that is expanding the already highly established Northern Ireland branch, with the aim to improve upon the clinical offering to our nursing & care staff and our clients.

The Deputy Nurse Manager will assist the management of day-to-day activities within the agency undertaking Interviews, Clinical Supervision, Appraisals and Revalidations, ensuring full compliance of candidates to meet the quality and legislative standards of RQIA, advise on training and clinical governance and support complaint and professional concern management and investigation. This role does not involve direct patient care.

A background in Mental Health Nursing is essential for this position, and having the Safety Interventions Instructor Qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Candidate interviews, inductions, ID checks, NMC revalidation and face-to-face interviews
  • Clinical supervision and appraisal
  • Assist quarterly & annual complaint monitoring reports
  • Ongoing review & update of policies (RQIA/Just Nursespolicies)
  • Candidate & internal team communications
  • Providing reports and information for the management team as required
  • Compliance with ISO and RQIA (Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority) requirements and legislation

Essential knowledge and skills:

  • Qualified Nurse with minimum 2 years post grad experience, or experience within the recruitment sector (NMC reg required)
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Mental Health Nursing
  • Good written and IT skills
  • Ability to work within the clinical team
  • Good team player
  • High levels of integrity

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the healthcare market in Northern Ireland would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of RQIA or similar standards.
  • Previous recruitment experience NHS or private sector.
  • Knowledge of NHS compliance process.
  • 4 years post grad experience desirable but not essential

Working Hours:Part-time position - 2/3 days per week. 9.00-5:30. Office-based.

Salary: £38,000 per year (full-time - 37.5 hours per week. Part-time will be pro rata)
