A children's care organization in Wem is seeking a Deputy Manager for their Residential Children's Worker role. This is a full-time permanent position where you'll provide essential support to young people aged 8–18, ensuring their safety and well-being. Your responsibilities will include managing staff, direct work with children, and upholding care standards. To qualify, you need NVQ 3 in caring for children and at least 12 months experience in a residential setting. Competitive pay at £15.50 per hour and numerous employee benefits are included.

To assist the manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the statement of purpose. To deputise in the absence of the registered manager. To support and manage the staff to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people. To undertake direct work with children and young people as appropriate. To be the responsible person in managing child protection concerns and complaints. To work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people. To offer supervisions and support to senior staff in line with care quality standards and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
