Job summary

A family-run business in the care sector is seeking a Deputy Manager for new residential homes in Peterborough. You will support the registered manager, manage operations in their absence, and ensure compliance with Ofsted. Ideal candidates will have a Level 3 diploma in residential childcare and experience in a similar role. A competitive hourly rate and benefits including sleep-in shifts are offered.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 diploma in residential childcare is required.
  • Level 5 in Leadership and Management is desirable or commitment to work towards it.
  • Experience as a deputy in a residential setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the registered manager in the daily running of the home.
  • Act on behalf of the manager in their absence.
  • Be accountable for Ofsted compliance.

Are you a Deputy manager looking for an opportunity in a brand new home?

My client are a family run business with residential home and independent living services around the UK. They are currently expanding and looking for Deputy Managers for multiple brand new EBD homes. The role will consist of supporting the registered manager in the daily running of the home, acting for the manager in their absence, accountability of Ofsted, assisting in the support of the homes staff etc.

The Role
  • £16.93 per hour on a 40 hour contract (Circa £32,500 per Anum before sleep ins)
  • £70.50 per sleep in shift
  • Variable shift pattern over 7 days, fixed shift pattern unavailable for this role
About You
  • Level 3 diploma in residential childcare (required)
  • Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Children and Young Peoples Services or a commitment to work towards this.
  • Experience as a deputy in a residential setting is desirable
  • Good knowledge of Ofsted
  • A full UK driving licence (preferred)
