Avery Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join their award-winning team at Aldridge Care Home. This role involves supporting the General Manager to ensure the care home operates effectively and provides a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for residents and their visitors, while meeting professional and statutory standards.

Main duties of the job

As the Deputy Manager, your focus will be on providing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team, ensuring medication policies and procedures are adhered to, monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, and completing necessary audits and reports. You will also attend weekly clinical meetings and monitor clinical risk areas in the home.

Job responsibilities

Your focus as Care Home Deputy Manager will be to support the General Manager to operate a compliant and effective person‑centred care home which provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment for residents and their visitors, whilst meeting stringent professional and statutory standards and commercial performance targets.

  • Providing ongoing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
  • Ensuring medication policies and procedures are adhered to and reviewing medication and administration.
  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident and being aware of any change impacting on care plans.
  • Completing monthly audits, quality indicator reports and any other report as required.
  • Attending weekly clinical meetings and monitoring clinical risk areas in the home.
