Deputy Home Manager (Nursing)
Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: Up to £57,450 per annum (DOE)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Home Manager (Nursing) to support the effective management and clinical leadership within a modern, purpose-built care home in Aylesbury.

You will work closely with the Home Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and team performance. This role is ideal for a registered nurse with strong leadership skills who is passionate about quality care and professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Home Manager in leading, motivating, and developing the care and nursing team.
  • Oversee care delivery, ensuring all residents needs are assessed and met in line with best practice.
  • Manage staff rotas, recruitment, induction, and ongoing training.
  • Monitor performance, address concerns, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Promote a culture of person-centred care, dignity, and respect for residents.
  • Contribute to occupancy management, financial oversight, and service improvement.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, audits, and communication with residents families and external professionals.
About You
  • Active NMC PIN and experience in a senior nursing or team leader role within elderly care.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and willingness to work towards Level 4/5.
  • Proven management experience in a multidisciplinary care setting.
  • Confident decision-maker with excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities while ensuring a caring, supportive environment for both residents and staff.
