A reputable educational institution in Tees Valley is seeking a Deputy Curriculum Manager to support the operational leadership of a dynamic department. We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join us as Deputy Curriculum Manager, providing vital support to the Curriculum Manager and taking a key role in the operational leadership of the department.
In this role, you will support the Curriculum Manager by taking responsibility for key aspects of the department's day‑to‑day operations. You will provide a management presence across the provision and ensure that staff and students are well supported throughout the academic year.
The Deputy Curriculum Manager will have direct line management responsibilities for selected staff within the department.
You will play a central role in driving excellence in teaching, learning and assessment, as well as ensuring the accuracy and quality of data and maintaining strong operational compliance across the department. This will include supporting performance management processes, monitoring quality indicators, and contributing to improvements in curriculum delivery.
This role will also deputise for the Curriculum Manager when required, contributing to departmental planning, quality assurance activities, self‑assessment, timetable planning, and staff development.
You will collaborate closely with teaching teams, support services, employers and other stakeholders to ensure the ongoing success of all curriculum areas.
The ideal candidate will bring experience in one or more of the curriculum areas listed above and have a proven track record of taking on leadership or supervisory responsibilities. Strong organisational skills, the ability to work effectively in a multi‑disciplinary environment, and a commitment to continuous improvement will be essential.
