We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Childrens Services team at Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust as Deputy Clinical Governance Lead. This is an exciting development opportunity for a Registered Childrens Nurse who is passionate about delivering safe, high-quality, and compassionate care for children, young people, and their families. Working closely with the Clinical Governance Manager, Clinical Educators, and Senior Clinical Teams, you will play a key role in supporting the development, implementation, and delivery of robust governance systems. You will help ensure compliance with national standards, drive continuous improvement, and promote a strong culture of learning and patient safety across all areas of Childrens Services.
Monitor within the Division the delivery on the key components of Clinical Governance, reporting any variance from the plan. Participate in the implementation and monitoring of risk management policies to ensure their effectiveness. Review and amend local policies and procedures where required. Support the use of risk registers monitoring the review dates and management, reporting and variance to the Clinical Governance Manager. Assist in maintaining records of responses and actions taken against recommendations from national and regional bodies that are reported to the Divisional Board, ie NICE, the Care Quality Commission, NHS England/Improvement, Department of Health, National Confidential Enquiries, Royal Colleges etc. Work with the service units to ensure that quality assurance processes are in place to meet national recommendations across relevant areas in the Division. Participate in auditing of records to ensure that they are maintained and managed within current national and local guidance. Assist the Clinical Governance Manager to maintain reporting systems on the management and investigation of clinical incidents, including Root Cause Analysis as required. Facilitate the sharing of learning throughout the Division/wider organisation.
